Instinct for Innovation.

Ocellott Technologies, founded in Brazil, needed a rebrand in order to break into the USA’s competitive technology, aerospace, and defense markets.

With a Brazilian-American background, I was brought in as a brand consultant to ensure the new identity was impactful both in international and domestic markets despite their vastly different competitive landscapes.

A key component of the brand strategy was naming. The ocelot is an animal prominent in the Brazilian fauna and folklore. It carries qualities that tie into the defense and technology fields as well as the company’s ideals - speed, stealth, agility, cleverness, instinct, and adaptability - while keeping a finger on the pulse of its Brazilian heritage.

Collaboration was essential for the success of this project. It included participation from Brazillian agency MIDIASIM, Ocellott’s in-house marketing team, and me. I was responsible for naming, market research, brand analysis, and creative direction inputs.

Today Ocellott continues to move on, stronger than ever!
